Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin, with no clinical downtime. Results can include improved texture and tone, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

Microneedling is an effective and relatively quick method of triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen and elastin. This process fosters new skin cell growth with fairly quick healing profile. One treatment may be all you need, though we typically recommend a series of three treatments one month apart for optimal results. Scars may require additional treatments, though we expect improvement with each treatment.

HOW DOES MICRONEEDLING WORK?
During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin at precise levels in order to produce collagen and elastin. A topical serum is applied to clean skin before and during treatment. This product is a soothing hyaluronic acid serum which helps the Collagen P.I.N. glide smoothly across the skin’s surface while simultaneously delivering the building blocks for healthy new skin deep into the skin. In some cases, your provider may select additional topical serums to use in conjunction with the Hyaluronic Acid.
The skin’s natural repair process ultimately results in a thicker dermis, more radiance and the appearance of softer facial lines or wrinkles.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE TREATMENT?
Your skin will be cleansed and a topic anesthetic will be applied 30 minutes prior to your treatment. Your anesthetic will then be removed and your skin will be cleansed again to make sure there is nothing on your skin prior to treatment. A sterile needle-tip containing tiny micro-needles is attached to the Collagen P.I.N. Your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical hyaluronic serum to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs.
Next, the Collagen P.I.N. will be glided across the skin until the entire treatment area has been covered. This results in thousands of microscopic channels throughout the entire treatment area. The repair process, Collagen Induction Therapy, begins almost immediately. Fibroblasts – the cells that synthesize new collagen – are active for up to as much as one year after just one Collagen P.I.N. treatment. Depending on your specific needs additional serums may be added. Your practitioner will select the appropriate needle depth and number of passes required to properly treat your concerns based upon your individual skin health and skin regimen. You will receive specially-chosen take-home care products with every 3 treatments.
RESULTS
The results of treatment are both immediate and progressive. Many individuals will begin to see the effectiveness of the treatment after their first visit, however a series of 3 or more treatments is often recommended, depending on severity of their skin condition. The skin’s repair process begins immediately upon treatment. Fibroblasts – the cells that synthesize new collagen – are active for up to as much as one year after just one Collagen P.I.N. treatment. New collagen and increased elastin production results in younger-looking, healthier, plumper, and firmer skin. The results improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, acne scars and more, for an overall better skin tone and texture.
MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP
Instead of using hyaluronic acid or Vitamin C serum, Microneedling can also be performed with PRP (platelet-rich plasma from your own blood).
When PRP is used with Microneedling, it penetrates your skin through thousands of micro-channels. PRP contains growth factors important for revitalization of the skin. This increases the effectiveness and regeneration process of Microneedling.
